Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real-estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company within a short time. One of the show's original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until today. In February of 2020, she has made 53 deals with the show, with the most significant being a $350,000 investment in 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second child of 10 from a working-class Irish-Catholic family was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran's mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented employee throughout Corcoran's childhood. Sometimes, her family relied upon free food delivery from a nearby grocery store. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who drank sometimes and was rude to her mother. Corcoran had difficulty in school, and she later found out that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was educated at a Catholic elementary school and then enrolled in high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran completed her studies at Leonia High School with a degree in English after having failed several classes during her first year of high school.
